BIOGRAPHY

Keiko Kawabata and Ryosuke Yanase studied at the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo with Professor Megumi Kaneko. Since 2010, they have been playing as a piano duo.

They won several awards including PTNA Piano Competition, international Franz Schubert competition, „ROMA” international competition, international pianoduo competition in Białystok and international piano four hands competition in Monaco.
They have played the Carnival of Animals by Saint-Saens at the Mecklenburg Vorpommern Music Festival.
In 2017, they performed with the Würth Philharmoniker under Maxim Vengerov.
In 2017, K&R won the very prestigious Musikpreis by the Bruno–Frey-Stiftung
They completed successfully theirs Master’s degree at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. K&R is pursuing a piano duo Konzertexamen degree at the University of Music and Theater in Rostock with Professors Hans-Peter Stenzl and Volker Stenzl.
